The Piano at the Edge of the World

Set in a small fishing village on the rugged coast of Brittany, France. An elderly widower, Henri, has not spoken a word since his wife died 12 years ago. Every evening at sunset, he walks to a weather-beaten piano on the cliffs — the same spot where he and his wife used to play duets. A young music teacher from Paris, running from a failed career, moves to the village and discovers Henri playing Chopin alone in the rain. She begins leaving sheet music on the piano bench — songs his wife used to play. Henri finds them, and through the silent language of music, a bond forms that slowly draws him back to the world of the living.
