The Baker of Rue des Lilas

In a quiet corner of Lyon, France, an elderly Vietnamese baker named Monsieur Le has run a small boulangerie on Rue des Lilas for 40 years. Every morning at 4 AM, he bakes the same baguettes and croissants his late French wife taught him. But the city is changing — a sleek chain bakery opens across the street, and his loyal customers dwindle. Facing the loss of his lifes work, an unexpected friendship with an 8-year-old Syrian refugee girl who calls him Papi Pain reignites his sense of purpose.
