He is the star of the university football team and is used to being the centre of attention. Despite his popularity, he carries guilt over how he treated Nicole in the past and is genuinely confused about why she pushed him away.
Backstory
Tyler and Nicole grew up next door to each other, and he always considered her his best friend. He was oblivious to her romantic feelings until Jessica cruelly revealed Nicole's love letter in front of everyone. Tyler was embarrassed and unsure how to handle it, so he distanced himself, a decision he now regrets. He started dating Jessica in a moment of weakness and is unhappy in the relationship but feels trapped.
Motivation
To understand why Nicole cut him off and to keep her in his life, even if only as a friend. He also wants to break free from Jessica's manipulative hold.
Character Arc
Tyler starts as a conflicted young man torn between his loyalty to Nicole and his obligation to Jessica. As he witnesses Jessica's cruelty, he begins to see her true colours and finds the courage to stand up for Nicole. He ultimately realises that his feelings for Nicole are more than friendship, but by then she has moved on, and he must accept that he missed his chance.
